Course Etiquette

Incidents have come to light recently in which slow play and the  lack of Course Etiquette are beginning to have an impact on the standards of golf we expect to see here at the Club, especially during busy days.

Members are reminded that play should be kept at a good pace, and that it is a group’s responsibility to keep up with the group in front. Groups should be invited to play through when:-

  1. A group loses one clear hole with the group in front.
  2. When searching for a ball as soon as it becomes obvious that the ball will not easily be found.
  3. Priority on the course is determined by a group’s pace of play as now indicated in the Rules Of Golf.

Would members please observe this etiquette and avoid slow play at all times.

Thank you on behalf of the Management Committee.
